Producers of "American Idol" indifferent to the competition

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "American Idol" producers and judges said Sunday they were indifferent to competition new reality singing shows "The Voice" and "The X Factor," they were preparing to go in their eleventh season, then the future of Ryan Seacrest host with the show was left unanswered.

Executive producer Ken Warwick "Idol" called the show the "gold standard" in the last harvest of reality singing talent shows on television, and that it was still the path to fame for singers.

"Leona Lewis (winner of the UK"X Factor") was one and a half hit star for ten minutes, but there is not Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwoods, Jennifer Hudson - they are real stars and none of these other shows produce these, a said Warwick in the Panel of the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles on Sunday."

"It is a huge part of the show, our hope is that it will be on the show for so long that we can get to be on it," said Mike Darnell, President of alternative entertainment for the Fox.

For the judges, the benefits to be involved with "Idol" was successful in their personal careers.
